Our next Tutor Training will be held this fall at Literacy Volunteers
of East Bay in Warren. Dates to be announced.
Sessions are generally scheduled with the following arrangement:

The training is free, but we ask prospective tutors to pay $25 to cover the cost of the tutor binder and tutor
manual, which will be yours to keep and use after the workshop.

- Tutor Responsibilities, Basic Literacy, Adult Learning
- Session 2, week night, 7-9 pm
- Beginning to Read
- Session 3, Saturday, 9 am-2 pm
- Reading Comprehension and The Writing Process
- Session 4, week night, 7-9 pm
- Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
- Session 5, week night, 7-9 pm
- Goal Setting; Lesson Planning; Student Assignments
