- Come to training with your tutor info packet, completed intake form and certificate from online course.

April/May 2011Tutor Training will take place on the Roger Williams University Campus. Specific location and
directions will be sent closer to the actual training. The training runs five sessions:
- Session 1, Tuesday, April 26, 2011, 6:30-9:00 pm
Tutor Responsibilities, Basic Literacy, Adult Learning
- Session 2, Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 6:30-9:00 pm
Beginning to Read and Reading Comprehension, part I
- Session 3, Tuesday, May 10, 2011, 6:30-9:00 pm
Reading Comprehension, Part II, The Writing Process and Numeracy
Session 4, Saturday, May 14, 2011, 6:30-9:00 pm (brown bag lunch)
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
Session 5, Tuesday, May 17, 2011, 6:30-9:00 pm
Goal Setting; Lesson Planning; Student Assignments
