How can you help?
- Volunteer as a tutor. Work directly with
students at public libraries. Teach one
student or a small group once a week or
more (schedule is very flexible). Training
will give you the skills you need to teach a
student to read or speak English. You
need not have a college degree, only a
diploma or GED. No previous teaching
experience is required. Click here for more
information about tutoring.
- Volunteer as a trainer. Conduct tutor
training sessions four times a year. You
will receive all the training you need to
enable classes of tutors to help more
students in our area.
- Volunteer in the office, do public
outreach, or offer your unique skills to
help our cause. Many of our neighbors
help us with routine office tasks, putting up
posters, securing donations for fundraising
events, or lend their talents at graphic
design or seeking out grants.

Bristol; however, volunteers and students can live in
any town.
